Toyota have designed the i-Real, a cross between a wheelchair and a mobility scooter. But its way more than that. The i-Real has 2 driving positions: one for cruising at walking pace, and with the push of a button, it reclines to a more aerodynamic setting with a speed of 20 miles an hour! It can also communicate with other i-Real users, and has an information database, say if you want to find a coffee shop it will find the nearest one for you.
Toyota hope to have this on the market in 2010 with a price tag of £2000 so hold off buying that new widescreen TV and that beach holiday and you could be owning one of these!
