Seamour Sheep Illuminative Edition

Toy Label Crazy label (who is currently sponsoring our Tamo Comp) have teamed up with a lad named Metin Seven, owner of the Dutch visual production company Seven's Heaven to make a USB lamp version of his famous character Seamour the Sheep. The plug naturally comes out of Seamour's ass. Conceptually though, a very cool idea for a more functional type collectible toy. I personally hope to see more of this kind of toy in the future.
Seamour began his life as a 3D funny comic strip that appeared on Flickr with an annoying Mole called Marty that keeps him company on his travels around the meadows of Scotland.

Seamour Sheep Illuminative Edition is available for PRE-ORDER on 11/15/07, due to limited human resources orders will be shipped in first-come-first-serve basis starting from 11/19/07 Monday. Pre-Order HERE.

PHESP Review Hitman Xbox360

PHESP Review

(Hitman – Xbox360 - 2007)
Earlier this year EDIOS released the latest Hitman game titled Blood Money (BM). Staring everyone’s favorite cloned assassin, Forty Seven (47), BM blew the previous Hitman games out of the bath tub in a big way.

Later this year, after an amazing 7 year run with the Hitman game series, the film adaptation will be released (oh yes!) on the big screen. The film is directed by Xavier Gens, stars Timothy Olyphant and the script is written by Skip Woods. Hitman the movie is scheduled for release on November 21, 2007.

Loyal fans will know that the Hitman game series stands out as being one of the most genius 3rd person action-strategy games on the market. ESPV finished BM on Xbox360 in about 3 weeks of casual gaming on ‘Normal’ mode, and it was a challenging but fulfilling ride. We did resort to online hints and walk-throughs at times to stop us from going mental but in the end our basic assassin skills were enough to finish the game. Although this game is not a multiplayer, it’s an awesome one player game to immerse yourself in for days.
The thing that makes the game so unique is that players can choose how much of a real assassin they want to be. As usual with games these days, it’s the degree of freedom, opportunity and choice that separate the try-hards from the die-hards. For example in BM, if you walk into a restaurant and pull out your customized MP5’s to blow your target away in a bloody scene killing by-standers and all, you will complete your mission but be ranked as a try-hard ‘thug’. But it’s pretty fun none the less. If however, you choose to sneak in the back sedate one of the kitchen staff, steal their uniform, sneak into the kitchen and poison your targets soup before escaping through the laundry shoot unseen and unheard… you’ll receive the top ‘silent assassin’ rank and receive bonuses, bla, bla… It’s up to you.

Each level is huge and there is at least 10 different ways to take out your target using whatever weapons you feel like. How creative you want to be is up to you. Either way if your plans go wrong then most people resort to gunning down everything in sight and then fleeing the scene. After watching the trailer for the up-and-coming movie, it’s clear they have kept some storyline and features from the games and books, although as always Hollywood seem to have spoiled everything by adding ‘the girl’ element which seems to have fucked everything up in a big way and completely misses the original point of 47 being a ruthless killer. Nice one Hollywood. Another sweet fiction story ruined. You guys are on a roll. Stay away from the Thunder Cats you fools!

It’s worth checking out the cool animation shorts on the edios website which are trailers for the movie. Other info check:

Jacek Yerka: Amazing Surrealism

"Award winning Polish artist Jacek Yerka has become synonymous with a surreal style of Fantasy art, gaining his remarkable visions from dreams and the capricious landscapes of his pastoral-like existence. His paintings are something of a cross between Vladimir Kush’s ‘Metaphorical Realism’ and Jim Warren’s whimsical ‘Magical realism’. We can also add some of the great surrealists and Flemish masters such as Hieronymus Bosch, Pieter Brueghel and Jan van Eyck into the mix. These artists styles and techniques (to some degree) influenced Yerka’s unique vision of “realism” and gave him a solid platform on which to convey reality through surreal compositions and meticulous brushstrokes.

Observing his paintings, you’ll will be drawn into the strong surreal elements, otherworldly qualities and some of the strangest oddities that form Yerka’s fantastic visions."

What more can I say? A perfect explanation and description to a near perfect fantasy world painter.

Gives me the shivers looking at this image. But at the same time, it's also kinda hypnotising.

Guinness Ad- Tipping Point

Nicolai Fuglsig, the man behind the Sony Bravia "balls" ad, has released Tipping Point this weekend in the UK, his latest creation, and the most expensive Guinness ad to date.

Brand Republic covers the story in Guinness to debut £10m domino toppling ad:

Fuglsig said the work was his most challenging experience to date, and involved around 1,000 people from the Salta region of northern Argentina, who had no previous experience of working on camera. The domino toppling series was created by the world record-breaking group, Domino Domain, and took two days to construct.

Around 6,000 dominoes were used for the ad, around 10,000 books, 400 tyres, six cars and 45 wardrobes, while 24 hours of footage was captured despite the dominoes taking just 14 seconds to topple.

Fuglsig said: "Shooting this was the biggest challenge of my career to date. It was a really tough job -- from the remote high altitude location to having to frequently reset thousands of props, as well as working with hundreds of villagers that had absolutely no understanding of acting of film making -- nothing was easy."

Matthew Woodson

Matthew Woodson was born and raised in rural southern Indiana. At a young age he developed a fascination for natural history and the elegant simplicity of silent moments and small deaths. He then moved to Chicago to attend The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, where natural history was non-existent and silent moments / small deaths were few and far between. After graduating in early 2006 Matthew still lives in Chicago, in an apartment full of original hardwood floors, taxidermy, and a cat.

He has worked for the likes of: American Express, Bare Films, Digital Kitchen, Forbes Magazine, The House Of Blues, Image Comics, LA Weekly, Meathaus Comics, More Magazine, Penthouse Magazine, Perry Ellis, The Royal Mail, Topshelf Comics & Wired Magazine.

Poxnora: Drums Of War

All these illustrations are made for the online game Poxnora, the game is a mix of CCG and tabletop strategy. The in-house artists are Bryan Rypkowski,Tyranx, Artkitty and Robogabo.
It's amazing to think that from one concept painting, a pixelated/simplified version will be used as a character in the game.
