MCA Tribute At The MCA
I've only just discovered this this week. Brilliant idea.
Ad creatives James Beswick and Dan White remembered the late Beastie Boys rapper Adam "MCA" Yauch with a guerilla art installation at the MCA (Museum of Contemporary Art).
Their tribute, which is in aid of Cancer Council, involved hiring a professional human statue, decking him out in classic MCA gear and creating an unauthorised exhibit in one of the galleries. A placard resembling official signage was stealthily blu-taced to the wall beside the performer to help the illusion and explain the stunt to museum goers.

Making A Neon Coca-Cola Sign In 1954
CR blog have a very interesting post on the making of a neon Coca-Cola sign for Picadilly Circus in 1954. Normally I wouldn't post something about Coke, but the technical expertise and logistics needed to make this size of sign without a computer is pretty impressive...

Adios LA By Jon Jackson
I know this has been doing the rounds on the blogs, but for good reason. A great idea, similar to ESPO's Love Letters project, but this time the lovers are Jon Jackson and his beloved Los Angeles...

Clever Billboard Ads

Bustop Lingerie uses a real skirt that blows up in the wind...

The ad agency JWT Mumbai has designed a hoarding where a painter seems to be actually extending the blue colour of the sky on to his canvas.

An unknown viral ad in America which is pretty creepy...

More Creative Advertising
This ad comes from Melbourne. It is for the Australian Childhood Foundation for their ongoing campaign "Stop Child Abuse Now". They used child size mannequins to represent children suffering neglect. The mannequins were placed in high traffic locations around the city and then a billposter was pasted over the top of the figure so only the feet and legs could be seen. Words on the poster read, “Neglected Children are made to feel invisible.”[VIA]
