"Walton Ford was born in 1960 in Larchmont, New York. Ford graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with the intention of becoming a filmmaker, but later adapted his talents as a storyteller to his unique style of large-scale watercolor. Blending depictions of natural history with political commentary, Ford’s meticulous paintings satirize the history of colonialism and the continuing impact of slavery and other forms of political oppression on today’s social and environmental landscape."

Askew Colour Theory
An interesting excerpt from New Zealand-based writer, ASKEW's site regarding colour theory and graff...
“A while ago I painted this piece to give as an exclusive for a small 1 page segment about colour theory in Infamous magazine. I spoke in brief about my approach to colour at the time – which was going through two phases: one that drew from the random arrangement found in crystal formations. The second was drawing inspiration from the natural environment around me – the places I find sentimental like the West Coast of Auckland.
Here is an example of how I have started doing this. The piece is about 5 months old so certain aspects of the Diamondism approach to letter treatment have resolved themselves since this one but I do love the way the colours and textures of my favourite places are present in this work. Download it in a bigger size and analyze for yourself!” (ASKEW)

The Hate Destroyer
THE HATE DESTROYER (Demo-version) from Fotogramma25.
Irmela Mensah-Schramm, 65 years old, a heroine with no muscles nor super powers, armed with spraypaint, and a scraper, hunting daily throughout Germany looking for racist or homophobic graffiti or stickers.
Indifference is her worst enemy, and to those, who marginalize, she answers: "People who draw a one meter swastika on a wall have to realize what they are doing."...great work grandma, but you really need to start using a fatcap! It'll save you heaps of time.
Thanks to Susana Cheng for the info!
