Dave Devries Monster Engine

Most kids have amazing imaginations, especially when conceptualising monsters, but they usually find it hard to realise their visions. Until now. Dave Devries takes drawings made by children of monsters and then re-creates them using his own skills whilst trying to stay true to the original idea. A great way for kids to see their monsters scarier than life!

Kenny Wongs Copperhead18 Figure

Kenny Wong has just given us some teaser shots of his new figure, Dr. Cube. This amazingly detailed 1:6 figure comes with beautifully rendered diving helmet and of course, a range of accessories that beggars belief. Usually, I'm not too into 12 inch figure but Kenny of Brothersworker is one of the few that make me really go wow....(I just dont get how he can afford to create these hyper-detailed accessories like the blowtorch, hammer and wiring for it!)

Some interesting Body Control Videos

The Perfect Drug Gold Star (Nine Inch Nails)- Expert Drums Level - Game: Rock Band

The best RC Helicopter "pilot" you are ever gonna watch. This guy has serious control!

Beardyman poses as a lecturer before bursting into beatbox. Very funny!

Adam Haynes

Adam Haynes has been illustrating for Nike 6.0 (their extreme sports label) for a couple years now and I think he rocks. His illustrations are so rich in detail, yet aren't necessarily made up of clean, straight lines. I first saw his work in a copy of Ride BMX magazine and loved his "rider's perspective", standing on the top of a massive drop off, waiting to just jump or roll into that huge transfer etc. This dude has a really bright future in the illustration game.

Thanks to UKAdapta for the heads up.

Chris Conte Sculpture

Chris Conte has finally started showing his pieces publicly last year, but I reckon he should have started alot earlier. Super clean mechanics with a sprinkle of antique makes his sculptures stand out to me.

Slamball

Dkoda originally told me about this sport a couple months ago and I have finally found a good 10min. highlights/explainer video of this mad sport. It's a mix of basketball, american football and ice hockey played on trampolines.....
Obviously, some of the best dunks/slams you will ever see!

Fredy Wenzel

Fredy Wenzel is a German 3D cover artist with some serious talent. He definitely has the eye for layers and textures and the images he creates are truly hyper-realistic.

Tim Tsui Toy Show at Bodhi Gallery

Great custom show by one of the original simian toy makers, Hong Kong's Tim Tsui. He shared a show at the Bodhi Gallery on Brick Lane with talented young artist Alice Chan. Da Minci is one of my fave interpretations of the popular monkey designs and to see him making Da Minci into customised as superhero icons is amazing. The prototype (all-white image) looks pretty darn tasty too....
